Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday assured that the government would dispose of the uncleared garbage soon and was ready to tackle the garbage menace using new technologies.
Speaking at an event in the city, Shettar said, “We have allotted Rs 5,500 crore to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) this year, and Rs 4,770 crore last year. No other state government has allotted such a huge amount for such infrastructure works. With the given funds for development, I think the BBMP will do justice .”
