Gogoi allots portfolios, retains Finance
Assam Chief Minister distributed portfolios to his council of ministers, keeping Home, Finance and PWD to himself.

Guwahati:Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today allotted portfolios to his 18-member council of ministers keeping Home, Finance and Public Works Department(PWD) with himself.

Political, Personnel and any other departments, which have not been allotted to any minister, would remain with the Chief Minister.

Cabinet minister Bhumidhar Barman was given charge of Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation, Implementation of Assam accord and Administrative Reforms while Prithivi Majhi would take care of Planning and Development, Labour and

Employment and Welfare of Tea Tribes.

Bharat Chandra Narah got Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, Pramila Barman got Agriculture and Welfare of plain tribes and backward classes, while Goutam Ray got Excise and Border areas.

Urban Development and Housing went to Dinesh Prasad Goala, Panchayat, Rural Development and Transport to Chandra Brahma while Khorsing Ingti got Hills Area Development, Mines and Minerals, Animal Husbandary and Veterinary.

Nurzamal Sarkar was allotted Irrigation, Soil Conservation and Fishery, Nazrul Islam Food and Civil Supplies, Welfare of Minority and Haj Affairs. Goutam Bora

got Cooperative and Cultural Affairs.

Industries and Commerce, Power and Public Enterprises were allotted to Pradyut Bordoloi, Education to Ripun Bora, Handloom, Textiles and Sericulture, Law and Legislation to Pranab Gogoi.

Himanta Biswa Sharmah was allotted Health and Family Welfare, Guwahati Development, Information Technology, Science and Technology.

Rackybul Hussain got Forest and Environment, Tourism, Printing and Stationary, Information and Public Relation.

Social Welfare and Jail were allotted to Ajanta Neog. The lone minister of state with independent charge Rihan Deimary was alloted Public Health Engineering.

Pramila Barman and Rihan belong to the coalition partner Bodo Land Peoples Progressive Front (Hagrama).
