New Delhi:'I'm completely shocked. This incident is so disgusting," said Kushal Tandon as he discussed the recent incident wherein model and actor Gauahar Khan was slapped by a 24-year-old guest, identified as Akil Malik, on the sets of 'India's Raw Star'.
Gauhar Khan, who hosts the show, was shooting for the finale episode of the show at Film City in suburban Goregaon.
The man identified as Akil Malik was detained after the incident. He was apparently against Gauahar Khan wearing short dresses during the show.
A police officer had said, "A man from the audience slapped the anchor. She shouted and her colleagues called the Police control room. And we arrested him. He has been charged for molestation."
Kushal, who was seen with Gauahar in 'Bigg Boss' last year, said such instances put forth the need to beef up security while filming shows. "This incident goes on to prove the fact that there is no security for the artistes. How do we interpret a situation wherein a person can come and hit a star in Filmcity? This shows stars aren't safe in Filmcity."
"Immediate and punitive action should be taken against the person who did it. It should be shown to the world to ensure such instances aren't repeated" he added. ####
