BANGALORE: The High Court set aside the single judge order in connection with the appointment of Karnataka Milk Federation’s managing director, following an appeal by petitioner A S Premnath.The petitioner who had moved the High Court, submitted that he had not been given enough time to file his objections while hearing the petition.The respondent Ramalingegowda in his submission said that the Board had made certain amendments to the by-laws against him. He submitted that the rules state that there should be concurrence from National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Government of India, before removing the Managing Director from his post, which has been amended in the Board meeting and NDDB and GOI can just be intimated after initiating action. It could be recalled that Ramalingegowda was suspended following the allegations of misappropriation against him. The State Government had appointed Premnath in his place. The division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice A S Bopanna set aside the single judge order with a direction to conduct fresh hearing.
