According to a MET department report in Lucknow, day temperatures appreciably rose in Agra and Meerut divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
Temperatures were appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra, Meerut divisions; above normal in Jhansi division and normal in Moradabad division.
Highest temperature at 45.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Banda.
The weatherman has forecast that weather would be dry for the next few days and heat wave conditions would continue at isolated places.
