BANGALORE: Following Friday’s setback, the Yeddyurappa faction seems to be treading cautiously. Changing their plans to use Yeddyurappa’s birthday which falls on February 27 as a platform to go all out against the party, the former chief minister and his team have decided to give a long rope to the party high command to take a call on their demands.Yeddyurappa and his supporters — Basavaraj Bommai, C M Udasi, V Somanna and others — held a meeting on Saturday and decided to wait till March 3, the day BJP national leadership will hold parleys with state BJP core group, before any decision. “Since BJP president Nitin Gadkari himself has said that he would address the problem, we have decided to wait,” sources close to Yeddyurappa said.Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa was reported as stating that he would announce some important decisions on February 27. He also claimed that Gadkari was upset with the media coverage to the happenings at the BJP’s Chintan Shibir which ended abruptly on Friday. “Gadkari had called me twice over phone to express his displeasure. It is a conspiracy hatched by Congress and the JD(S) to send me out of BJP... They (opposition) are planting stories in the media against me,” he added. Sources said that it was Yeddyurappa who was upset with the media coverage.
