Ratlam, (MP) Skeletal remains of infants and fetuses were found on Saturday on a missionary hospital's premises in this district headquarters.
Following a tip-off, media persons rushed to the hospital and began searching barren area behind the operation theatre.
Polythene packets containing bones were found and the authorities were alerted.
Subsequently, a search operation unearthed a heavy quantity of buried skeletal remains.
Superintendent of Police Satish Saxena, Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Arun Rawal, Civil Surgeon K C Pathak and Forensic Science Laboratory official Alok Mathur rushed to the site after hearing about it.
''The bones are being sent for analysis,'' Saxena said. The hospital's Dr P William told UNI that prenatal diagnostic tests and abortion were not undertaken there. ''The discovery is a conspiracy against me,'' the physician alleged.
''Only tests will reveal how old the remains are,'' said children's specialist R J Kaushal.
