New Delhi: The latest on swine flu. Delhi recorded 116 lab-confirmed cases in one day on Wednesday, just a day after a record high of 217 confirmed cases.
The Capital has recorded the highest number of cases in the country, with 5,793 positive cases so far.
One more death has also been reported, taking the toll to 27. Doctors say it's not just the winter setting in which is the main reason for the huge spurt in cases, but also possibly because Delhi sees a greater viral load due to constant migration.
And also better healthcare infrastructure leads to better diagnosis and higher numbers.
The infection still remains largely mild. Kids continue to make up a large proportion of cases and some schools in the Capital have decided to remain shut for a few days.
