Deadline for scholarships to minorities extended

HYDERABAD: The deadline for requesting central government-sponsored scholarships benefitting students of minority communities has been extended to July 31, said a press release by the A.P State Minorities Finance Corporation Ltd.The deadline is common for applicants requesting scholarships and for those seeking renewal of support. The funding is being extended at two different levels - to students at the Pre-Matric level, studying in standard 1 to 10, as well as the Post-Matric level, applicable to students of inter first year till Ph.D. Merit scholarships are also available under the scheme.Students can apply for the fellowships online at www.apsmfc.com. The printout of the application along with requisite documents have to be submitted to the respective educational institutions. The income certificates issued to the parents of the applicants, postOctober 10, 2010 are valid and a certified copy of the same has to be submitted with the application.  Schools, colleges have to compile applications submitted by students by July 31 for submission to office of concerned executive directors.
