HYDERABAD: A couple from Karnataka ended their lives in their house at Chatrinaka reportedly unable to bear health and financial problems. The duo, Ravi (50) and Jyothi (45), are natives of Kolar in Karnataka and have shifted to Uppuguda in the Old City a month back. They were selling plastic goods in front of their house to eke out a livelihood. In the last two days, the couple did not come out of the house and on Tuesday morning, neighbours noticed foul smell emanating from the house. With no response from inside, they forced open the door and found the couple hanging to the ceiling fan hook. "The bodies are in a decomposed state and they might have ended their lives two days back,'' Chatrinaka police inspector N Shyam Prasad Rao said. Police found a suicide note purportedly written by the couple in Kannada."The couple wrote that they were finding it impossible to get Rs 70,000 required for Jyothi's treatment,'' the police said. The couple also left a contact number of their relatives with the help of which police came to know that Jyothi was the second wife of Ravi.Ravi's sons, whom he begot through his first wife, are coming to the city and more details can be known only after their arrival, police said. A case was registered and the bodies were kept at the Osmania mortuary.
