CHIKMAGALUR: Taking a dig at the rift between former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and CM D V Sadananda Gowda, KPCC president G Parameshwar said that supporters of the former are confident that their leader will present the budget, despite the latter asserting that he will do so.He said here on Thursday that such confusion will hinder the progress of the state adding that administration has come to a standstill. “173 taluks are reeling under drought. The Centre has released natural calamity funds to tackle the crisis but the state has not utilised it.”Parameshwar said that the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary with an area of 492 sq km was declared part of Project Tiger, and then CM B S Yeddyurappa had notified an additional 348.46 sq km area for buffer zone. “People will be affected due to widespread eviction; why is the CM not withdrawing it?”“The government will not be able to spend the money until it presents the budget within March 30 which may lead to a crisis,” he added.
