Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy released posters and other publicity materials on energy conservation, prepared by the AP Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The APCPDCL embarked on an energy-saving campaign targeted at 83 lakh consumers comprising housewives, commercial establishments, industries, schools and farmers in its jurisdiction in Anantapur, Kurnool, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda and Hyderabad districts.
It has planned to create awareness in people on power conservation through posters, pamphlets and flexis, radio jingles and slides. Principal secretary (energy) M.Sahoo, APTransco chairman and MD Heeralal Samariya, APCPDCL chairman and managing director G Anantha Ramu, and secretary to chief minister KS Jawahar Reddy were present.
