Chief Secretary gets notice for not hanging pics

MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of the High Court on Wednesday ordered issue of notice to the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government for not executing the directive of the Bench to hang portraits of national leaders in government offices.Advocate Stalin, in his petition had said that the Government Order of hangingleaders’ portraits ,who fought for freedom, in offices is not being followed. He had filed a plea before the Bench which directed that the government directive be executed.Since the order was not executed inspite of many reminders, he had prayed for contempt action against the Chief Secretary.
