HYDERABAD: Youth from the state can now avail a total of 13,708 jobs in different branches of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). An announcement to this effect has been made for second round of recruitment drive this year for the post of general duty constables and riflemen.The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has been on a nationwide campaign to attract more candidates for the posts which stand at a total of 79,000 posts in the country. The recruitment will be made in accordance with the reservation accorded to each state.There are more chances of the question paper being trilingual this year for the convenience of candidates.‘’A representation will be sent to the ministry of home affairs in this regard soon,” NK Raghupathy, chairman of the SSC, said while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.In the present round of recruitments, the posts reserved for candidates hailing from naxal-hit areas is 2,426 which are likely to be diverted for the general candidates from the state if the number of aspirants do not match up to the available vacancies.“In order to reach out to larger number of rural youths, especially those hailing from troubled areas, we are ready to print more number of applications which will be distributed through the units of CAPFs located in the interiors,” he said. The vacancies available for women candidates in the state is a mere 348.The selection for SSCs are held for six units of the CAPF, which include Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Assam Rifles and Indo-Tibe t an Borde r Pol i c e (ITBP).Due to the policy of nondivergence of reservations for those hailing from border areas and naxal-hit regions, a backlog of 29,000 posts has been added to the total vacancies available nationwide, after the recruitment drive held in February this year.A notification for the posts by the SSC would be released on Dec 3 and last date for receiving applications is Jan 4.The written exams for those who have cleared physical tests will be held on April 22. The minimum eligibility is matriculation and the age limit is between 18 and 23 years as on Aug 1, 2012.
