BSY to attend meet

BANGALORE:  In an U-turn, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has decided to attend the ongoing BJP national executive meet in Mumbai. Yeddyurappa will leave for Mumbai by air at 8.30 am on Friday and attend the proceedings of the last day of the meeting. According to sources, BJP president Nitin Gadkari and Opposition Leader in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley persuaded Yeddyurappa to attend the meeting. Yeddyurappa had remained away from the meeting for the first time in 24 years protesting alleged attempts of a section of national leaders to sideline him in the party. Earlier in the day he had said he would attend the meet “if possible”.After Yeddurappa’s arrival, the party leaders are expected to discuss problems in the state BJP.  Yeddyurappa will also be inviting party national leaders to his grand-daughter’s wedding to be held on May 30 in Bangalore, the sources add.
