CHENNAI: The Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya announced that it would hold the Chennai leg of its platinum jubilee celebrations at the Valluvar Kottam from Friday. The three-day celebration would revolve around the theme ‘One  God, One World Family’ and will have meditation sessions, painting competitions for children and cultural programmes.The celebrations will begin at Valluvar Kottam on Friday with a cultural programme by Chettinad Vidyashram at 5 pm. The invocation song will be rendered by Bombay Sisters and at 5.45 pm Dadi Hirdaya Mohini along with 75 Brahma Kumari sisters will participate in a meditation session for 15 minutes on the dais. Brahma Kumar Brij Mohan from the headquarters and Brahma Kumari Maureen from Australia will also be present.A 12 Jyotir Linga Darshan will be inaugurated at the venue. It will be open from 8 am to 8 pm. The platinum jubilee celebration of the movement was inaugurated by President Pratibha Patil at the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Gurgaon on September 16. Talking to Express, Brahma Kumari Bina said that the additional chief of the Brahmakumaris, Dadi Hirdaya Mohini would  address the gathering and give here blessings. “She has been with the organisation since the  age of eight and as a trance medium among the 400 people who were at the very beginning of the organisation, she communicates messages from Brahma Baba.” Brahma Kumari Bina said that Chennai was blessed to have Dadi Hirdaya Mohini coming to their midst as she “has a clean mind, clear heart and a very clear communicator. At the age of 85 she is not in a position to travel to all the centres and hence Chennai is lucky she is coming,” she said.“The main message of the celebration is that there is very good hope for humanity. An age of peace and happiness is going to start,” said Brahma Kumari Bina.Elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, the celebrations will take place at all Brahma Kumari centres in a phased manner. In Madurai, the celebrations will be held on December 17 and 18. Besides State-wide celebrations, there will be events in 200 branches in Tamil Nadu, Brahma Kumari Bina said.Ministers, ruling party MLAs,Speaker of Tamil Nadu Assembly and eminent personalities are slated to take part in the celebrations.
