Bought TNPSC paper from Andhra man for Rs. 4 lakh: Duo

The TNPSC question paper leak case has taken a new turn with the arrest of Senthilkumar and Thyagarajan as the duo have confessed that they bought the paper from one Rao of AP.

Senthilkumar and his brother Thyagarajan of Tiruvallur district were arrested in Erode Bull Fight Junction on Wednesday night. The JM-2 court ordered their remand for 15 days.

During inquiry Thyagarajan told the police that he bought the question paper for `4 lakh by one Rao to help his brother Senthilkumar, who had applied for the exam.

Following their information, a special team has decided to visit the neighbouring state to trace Rao.

With the links in the case extending to other states also, the government may hand over the case to the CID, police said.

Initially, police thought that the arrest of Balan of Chennai, would give clear leads and help in solving the case.

But the statement of the duo has given a new twist and cops are now investigating to find out if the question paper was leaked out by the press in Andhra Pradesh, where it was printed.

Meanwhile, four persons who were arrested immediately after the leak were released on conditional bail on Thursday. until the investigations were completed.
