MYSORE: Even while the world famous Dasara celebrations are nearing, the ruling BJP stands divided, with a majority of the leaders keeping away from the festivities. This is only a hint that all is not well inside the party. The district BJP that was divided into two factions during the election of new legislature party leader in the wake of B S Yeddyurappa’s resignation, is finding it difficult to unite itself now.Though there are MLAs, MLCs, former ministers, board and corporation chairmen in the party, District Minister S A Ramadas is managing the preparations of the festival by himself.Ramadas managed to win thrice from Krishnaraja constituency. He kept a low profile as he was denied a ministerial berth by Yeddurappa, avoiding even Dasara activities. But, now Ramadas is allegedly not taking senior leaders into confidence. The unilateral decisions taken by him on many issues have put him in trouble. The minister, however, maintained the leaders are busy with Koppal bypolls. In this background, the Sangh Parivar had convened a meeting to advice the minister not to do this. The senior leaders who attended the meeting were told to bury the difference and work in the interest of the party.
