Bike-borne gang loots Rs 12 lakh

BHUBANESWAR: Three bike-borne robbers struck in the heart of the City and snatched `12 lakh at gun-point from the accountant of an automobile showroom here on Wednesday, barely 24 hours before the all-important Republic Day, when security is beefed up across the City. Intercepting the car near Satsang Vihar, they smashed the windows and snatched the cash from the  accountant and fled. Their bike did not bear a registration number and such was their audacity, the trio did not even bother to wear helmets to escape identification throwing a challenge at the police.
