Babu promises to impose dry law

HYDERABAD: Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu has promised that the Telugu Desam Party, if voted to power in the next elections, will implement total prohibition of belt shops in the state in phases.Addressing TDP women’s wing session at NTR Bhavan on Friday, Naidu said the TDP regime would enforce the closure of all belt shops in the state.He alleged that the Congress government was neglecting women’s empowerment.The TDP chief exhorted women activists to fight against corruption of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan and iron ore mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy. “Jagan is silent on Congress after a CBI probe was ordered into his illegal wealth. Women should take the lead to expose the YSR family,” he said.TDP HRD chairman Dadi Veerabhadra Rao demanded the government to revive the women’s commission.
