ASI suspended for manhandling senior police officer

An assistant sub-inspector of police was on Saturday suspended for allegedly manhandling his senior officer in Gandhi Nagar police station in Jaipur.

The accused Kanhaiya Lal was assigned patrolling duty on Friday evening in the area but he was absent.

"When the SHO Mukesh Chaudhary asked him why he skipped the duty, he misbehaved and manhandled the SHO," DCP Sweta Dhankar said.

She said that the accused ASI was found drunken in a medical test and was suspended on Saturday, adding that further probes are on.
