Jodhpur: Hundreds of Asaram supporters were lathicharged by the police outside the Jodhpur central jail where they had assembled to protest against the self-styled godman's 14-judicial custody in a case of allegedly sexually assaulting aminor girl.
Around 500 Asaram's supporters gathered outside the central jail to protest his arrest on Monday evening. The police have moved away many of the agitators from the site.
The self styled 'godman' Asaram has been sent to 14 days in judicial custody on Monday in the sexual assault case of the 15-year-old. The police have said that they have strong case against him.
