A group of educationists, entrepreneurs and activists decided on Sunday to request Governor H R Bhardwaj to take action against the moral policing here.
The group launched the campaign ‘Arise Mangalore’ that aims to stop moral policing. Nitte University Chancellor N Vinay Hegde at programme organised for Arise said, “The attack at the homestay was nothing short of murder as it traumatised society,” he added.
He suspected that the attackers were manned by the mafia. The hooligans should be put in jail for a minimum of six years. Hegde requested the politicians not to support their release.
