THIRUVANANATHAPURAM: The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), a Union Tourism Ministry institute functioning at Kovalam, has invited applications for various courses, starting in July.Candidates with a BSc degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration with first class can apply for the two-month Certified Hospitality Trainer course. Those who gain admission will be allowed a scholarship of Rs 10,000. The final date for applying is July 8.Graduates can apply for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management. The course term is one-and-a-half years. There are 30 seats in all. SC/ST/OBC categories have reservation. Age limit is 25 years. Students who have passed the SSLC examination can apply for the Craft Course in Food Production. Age limit - 22 years. IHMCT is also offering diplomas in food production, housekeeping and food and beverage service.
