THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Applications have been invited from interested candidates for hospitality courses conducted by the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology that will commence on January 9. The courses offered include an 8-week course in food production and a 6-week course in food and beverage service, waiter-cum-housemen course. The minimum educational qualification for both the courses is a pass in Class 8. While the students in the food production course will get a stipend of Rs 2,000, those in the food and beverage course will get a stipend of Rs 1,500. The age limit for both the courses is between 18-28 years. Interested candidates can send their applications in plain paper with details such as name, address, contact telephone number, age and qualification along with copy of supporting documents and a passport size photograph to the Principal, IHMCT, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram - 695527. Admission will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
