Father of the deceased told the police that Gaurav had left the house on Tuesday evening but did not return.
Ambala: The body of a 14-year-old boy was on Wednesday found in a pool of blood at Ambala Cantonment area. Gaurav, a student of class 8, was found dead near SD college and his body was noticed by passersby, who informed the police.
Commissioner of Police Rajbir Deswal and DCP Ashok Kumar rushed to the spot. The father of the deceased, who works as a labourer, told the police that Gaurav had left the house on Tuesday evening but he did not return.
The police have registered a case and the body was sent for post mortem.
