The All-India Mahila Samskarika Sanghatana (AIMSS) staged a protest march and dharna in front of the Secretariat on Tuesday against the arrest of S Mini, state committee member of the organisation.
The protestors alleged that Mini was arrested by the police at 10 p m on Monday for allegedly leading the anti-garbage plant protest in Vilappilsala.
“The arrest was in violation of the Supreme Court guidelines and Aryanad Sub Inspector who led the team abused Mini,” the protestors alleged. T M A Susy, A Saboora, Sheela K J, M A Bindu, K K Sobha, K S Chellamma, Twinkle Prabhakar and Shailaja Kumari addressed the march.
