The state government on Monday issued orders awarding the contract to private agencies for collection of user fee at toll gates on the 79.46-km-long stretch of the Outer Ring Road between Pedda Amberpet and Patancheru and on the 4.9-km-long link road from Narsingi to Gachibowli.
The user fee collection work was entrusted to PK Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd that quoted a bid of `22.73 crore for Stretch-1 (including the premium for 18 months) from Pedda Amberpet to Patancheru and for link road from Narsingi to Gachibowli (4.9 km).
Nehru ORR toll collection points will be operated at Pedda Amberpet, Bongulur, Raviryal, Tukkuguda, Pedda Golconda, Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, APPA, Kokapet, Edulanagulapally, Patancheru and Nanakramguda Interchanges for a period of 18 months from the date of handover.
The municipal administration and urban development department issued a Go Ms 301 in this regard on Monday. Two agencies, PK Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd and Sahakar Global Ltd, had submitted tenders before February 25 this year for the work.
A committee consisting of HMDA and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited officials evaluated the bids and recommended opening of financial bids of both the agencies. PK Hospitality Services quoted the highest bid.
The HMDA negotiated for increasing the bid value quoted by the respective bidders for the southern sector of ORR (Stretch-1) so as to matche it with the minimum estimated revenue to HGCL, and it arrived at a value of `22.58 crore for an 18-month period.
Accordingly, the two agencies submitted their financial bids. The government decided to confine the present tenders to stretch-1 only as stretch 2 and 3 are not put through the process of competitive bidding. It further decided to call for separate tenders for Stretches 2 and 3.
