HYDERABAD: Two hotel management students were fatally run over by a lorry near Masab Tank in the early hours of Friday. Humayun Nagar police inspector P Madhukar Swamy said Arun Kumar (24) and his friend Abhishek Saluja (21), who hailed from Uttar Pradesh, were second year students of the Institute of Catering Technology at Vidyanagar.The duo was staying in a room along with a few others at Vidyanagar.They went to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad to give send off to their friends who were going abroad.While they were returning from the airport on a Honda CRV around 5 am, a lorry (AP 21 AE 4619) hit their bike from behind and the duo were crushed to death.The lorry driver fled abandoning the vehicle after the mishap. A case under Section 304-A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC was registered against the driver. The lorry was seized, Swamy said.
