10 held for eve-teasing near college

HYDERABAD: The Task Force police on Saturday arrested at least ten persons when they were making lewd comments on women near the St. Francis College, Secunderabad. According to police, as part of their special drive, ten persons were involved in in passing lewd remarks at women and making obscene gestures near the St. Francis College in Secunderabad. They were handed over to Gopalpuram police station for further investigation.Ch Ramchander, deputy commissioner of police (Task Force) said they would continue the drive for some more days to prevent the menace near colleges and schools. They took up the initiative due to increasing complaints about eve-teasing.
