1 killed, 15 injured in Tirunelveli bus collision

One person was killed and 15 injured when a Government bus collided with a van at nearby Thachanallur Karaiyiruppu area on Tuesday, the police said.

The 16 van occupants were on their way to Irukkankudi to attend a function when the bus bound for Thiruvananthapuram from Chennai collided with it, they said. A 75-year-old man, died on way to hospital while the other injured were hospitalised.
