A simple varnish suitable for children's craft projects can be made using PVA glue and water.
Set up the area. Cover the work surface with newspaper or other cover to protect it.
Use the ration of two thirds glue to one third water. The exact amount used will depend on the size of your craft project.
Pour two thirds of an amount of PVA glue into a mixing container.
Pour in a third of water.
Mix the two ingredients together thoroughly.
Apply to the craft object. The varnish goes on white and dries clear. It will protect artwork, decoupage, drawings and decorative elements attached to a craft project. Use a large artist's paintbrush to apply the PVA glue varnish.
Finished.
