Christopher Nolan Gives A Shout Out To Zack Snyder: 'His Films Show Potential Of Cinema’
Zack Synder has received praise from another renowned director, Christopher Nolan. The filmmaker went on to say that Zack has been a major influence in modern day storytelling.

Zack Snyder’s latest Netflix film, Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire topped the charts and sparked a lot of buzz among viewers. The filmmaker is known for DC blockbusters such as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, among others. He is famed for making notable superhero films, and fans can’t stop appreciating him for his work. Among others, Zack Synder has now received praise from another renowned director, Christopher Nolan. The latter went on to say that Zack has been a major influence in modern-day storytelling.

In his latest interview with The Atlantic, Christopher Nolan said, “There’s no superhero science-fiction film coming out these days where I don’t see some influence of Zack. When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you see and feel his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you.”

This is not the first time Christopher Nolan has openly appreciated Zack Synder’s work. Earlier, he told The Hollywood Reporter that he always believed Watchmen was ahead of its time. He stated that the concept of a superhero squad, which it expertly subverts, did not yet exist in film. It would have been fascinating had it released after Avengers.

Recently, speaking about his stint with the superhero genre, Midday quoted Zack Synder as saying, “If my foray into superheroes starts with Watchmen and ends with Justice League, it marks pretty cleanly that era for me. You could use those two movies as the bookends of what I would consider its commercial freakshow peak.”

Meanwhile, the teaser of the sequel to Zack Synder’s Rebel Moon was released recently and it takes the story forward from where it ended in the first part. Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver is expected to release on Netflix on April 19 next year. The plot of the film, co-written by Zack Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad, revolves around a young woman, Sofia Boutella. She is tasked with recruiting troops to defend against an approaching invasion led by the despotic ruler Regent Balisarius, played by Fra Fee. Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver teaser continues his epic narrative, with Kora and the surviving warriors preparing to sacrifice everything in order to combat alongside the people of Veldt.
