Netflix’s Bridgerton has been a record-breaking series and a much-loved period drama among fans. Even since the Bridgerton family siblings were introduced, the viewers have waited for each season to unfold as they witness each of the characters discovering themselves and finding love. The last season ended with Antony Bridgerton getting a happy ever after with Kate Sharma, played by Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley. The third season is all set to explore the relationship between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Although there is time for the season premiere, the makers have dropped some stills and a poster teasing about the characters this Christmas.
The new season poster also features Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), sneakily peering into a mirror, evoking the essence of Julia Quinn’s novel Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, on which this season is based. The caption along with the poster reads, “Every mirror tells a story… and Miss Penelope Featherington’s story is one that cannot be missed.”

Further, the series of stills shared by Netflix teases on the appearance of many characters as well as gives a glimpse of old and new ones. The carousel includes photographs of the couple in focus this season and also introduces Francesca Bridgerton, the sixth sibling, who is all set to be out in the town. The stills also tease fans in the post-married lives of Antony and Kate. Among others, we also see Violet Bridgerton and Eloise. “If these portraits are any indicator, the upcoming season is certainly sure to be overflowing with intrigue and scandal,” read the caption.

The eight-episode third season will be split into two parts and released in 2024. The first four episodes will be released on May 16, followed by the remaining four on June 13. Jess Brownell will take over as showrunner for the third season of the acclaimed Shondaland series, succeeding creator Chris Van Dusen.
Nicole Coughlan told The Hollywood Reporter, “Julia Quinn, who wrote the book said, ‘This is one of the most important love stories in the whole Bridgerton series and it just happens that it’s a friendship love.” The plot is based on Quinn’s fourth book in the series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton. Reportedly, the fourth season of the show has already been sanctioned. Each season of Bridgerton is supposed to centre on a different one of the eight Bridgerton siblings and their quest for marriage.
