Bringing an end to the long way and much-stalled development, makers are finally here with the trailer of Beetlejuice 2. With Tim Burton back on the steering wheel as the director of the long-awaited sequel to his 1988 classic, the film brings back the original star Michael Keaton as the anonymous bio-exorcist along with Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz. The teaser trailer also introduces the new cast members including Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter.
The official teaser trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice came out on Thursday, March 21, giving a glimpse of the mischievous demon who is back in his form. The teaser begins with showing Jenna Ortega’s character Astrid riding on her bike in the town only to later discover her mother’s mysterious model of the town in the attic. It is not long before a portal opens to the Afterlife and Beetlejuice rises in his might with the proclamation “The juice is loose." This is also the only dialogue in the trailer, which brings a mix of punch and his mischievous antics.

The trailer’s tagline reads, “Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."
On The Jess Cagle Show earlier this month, Michael Keaton spoke about the trailer, calling it visually “beautiful."
“The other one was so fun and exciting visually, it’s all that but really beautiful and interestingly emotional here and there. I wasn’t ready for that. It’s great," he added.
On the other hand, Ortega in a conversation with Vanity Fair spoke about her character and said, “The relationship between Lydia and Astrid, my character, is very important. And it’s also really strange because it’s a lot of catching up and putting the pieces together of what’s gone on in Lydia’s life since, which is nice, I think, for anybody who loves the character and is excited to see her again."
