Hockey India (HI) has written to Pakistan Hockey Federation offering help to the cash-strapped body across the border.

The team is gearing up under new chief coach Paul van Ass to take on Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Malaysia and Canada for the title.

Newly-appointed chief coach Van Ass included Mandeep in the 18-member squad for the 24th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Malaysia will now face the bottom placed team of Pool A, which is all likelyhood would be Ghana, while Singapore will take on hosts India.

The result not only helped Wizards to move to top of the pool standings, but also ensured Delhi Waveriders' entry into the semis.

Mumbai gear up to clash against Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.

"Valentin Altenburg accepted his provocative behaviour, leading to the disciplinary committee handing a one-match suspension to the head coach," said an HIL statement.
