"I am so happy to have signed a new deal and is looking forward to working with Louis van Gaal," Valencia said.
Manchester United say their midfielder Antonio Valencia has signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2018.
The 28-year-old Valencia says on the club's website "I am so happy to have signed a new deal" and that he is "looking forward to working with (new manager) Louis van Gaal."
Valencia is currently with the Ecuador national side in Brazil for the World Cup. He started in their 2-1 win against Honduras on Friday.
United's new assistant manager Ryan Giggs says he is "really pleased Antonio has signed a new contract" and that "his contribution to the team since he joined the club in 2009 has been fantastic."
Valencia has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup since joining United from Wigan in 2009.
