Petr Cech's starring role in Arsenal's title challenge this term appears to have gone unnoticed by Adidas, with the goalkeeper's new gloves dropped off at Chelsea's training ground by mistake.
Cech, who spent a decade at Chelsea before completing a move to Arsenal in the summer, was expecting a new pair of gloves ahead of the match between the two London club on Sunday.
His new gloves were delivered to the Blues' Cobham training base, rather than Arsenal's London Colney home, although Chelsea did rectify the issue by flagging up the error.
The Telegraph quoted a Chelsea insider as saying: "There were a few smiles and mischievous remarks when Petr’s gloves turned up here, but we made sure they got back to him as soon as possible."
Cech has kept 10 clean sheets at Arsenal this season and his heroics have helped Arsenal to top of the EPL table.
