Inter eye second win in clash with Palermo
Fiorentina takes on Lazio in another Serie A match on Saturday.

Milan: Italian champion Inter Milan travels to Palermo on Sunday aiming to gather some much-needed momentum with a second straight league victory.

Inter has had a mixed start to the season, losing the UEFA Super Cup to Atletico Madrid and opening the season with a 0-0 draw against Bologna before beating Udinese in the second round. It stumbled again in the first round of Champions League matches, drawing 2-2 with Twente.

Questions have been raised over the freshness of the players who followed up Inter's treble-winning season by playing at the World Cup.

"This season we are starting from zero," playmaker Wesley Sneijder said. "We had some problems against Atletico Madrid and Bologna, but now we are building momentum. We beat Udinese and things were much better.

"Motivation isn't a problem. Like I said, we are starting from zero, but with the same desire to win."

There is some concern that last season's leading scorer Diego Milito has yet to find the net.

Last year, the Argentine scored 22 goals in the league, including the one that sealed the championship. He also scored twice in the Champions League final and hit the winner to secure the Italian Cup.

"We are trying to find the best way to improve," Milito said. "We haven't won away yet, but we are convinced that it will come in Palermo. We deserved all three points against Bologna and should have won it in the second half.

"I'm hopeful that the goals will come, if only to have something else to talk about."

Cross-city rival AC Milan hosts Catania having recouped some confidence in its 2-0 win over Auxerre in the Champions League.

New signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his first two goals with his new club after missing a penalty on his Milan debut in the 2-0 loss to Cesena last weekend.

"Tonight we made progress," defender Alessandro Nesta said after the Auxerre win. "In the first half we weren't brilliant, but as the game went on we got better and we have to keep getting better.

"We aren't yet making the most of the potential of this team because some players have only just arrived, but we will improve with time."

League leader Chievo Verona, the only team in the Serie A with a perfect record, hosts newly promoted Brescia aiming to making it three wins in three.

In other fixtures, it is: Fiorentina vs. Lazio, Bari vs. Cagliari, Cesena vs. Lecce, Parma vs. Genoa, AS Roma vs. Bologna, Udinese vs. Juventus, Sampdoria vs. Napoli.
