Two minutes later, Abel Hammond cross was missed both by Abhishek and Felix with Subrata Paul off his line. Kuttimani was providing some good balls with East Bengal having tough time in having to contend them. Kalia Kulothungan shot straight into Subrata Paul's hands after some good work by Hammond.

The 73rd minute saw Riston Rodrigues being taken in the medical van after he fell down on being pushed by Syed Nabi off an East Bengal corner. Alex Ambrose made a mess off a chance after Abel Hammond brilliantly pulled it back for the former in the 78th minute.
