New Delhi: Asia is the next big thing on the international sports map. And expectedly, big names are making a beeline to stamp their presence on this part of the globe in a big way.
Talismanic France and Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, too, joined the bandwagon on a promotional tour to China, though he ended up speaking more about his future.
Henry hasn't been on the football pitch for quite some time due to a string of injuries. But that didn't deter his fans in the Orient to try and get a slice of him when he touched down in Beijing.
Invited to attend the Beijing Olympics next year by China's star basketball player Yao Ming, Henry understands the pressure host athletes would be under to perform.
"You have a lot of great athletes. I think you are going to perform and it's not about the pressure. The pressure is you have been winning for a while. I think it could be a great one," Henry said of the expectations the host nation will have during the Olympics in 2008.
The transfer market has been buzzing awhile with rumours of Henry moving on from Arsenal. Infact, Inter Milan have offered the Gunners a swap with Adriano, while Barcelona are even prepared to snap up Henry for the prolific Samuel Eto'o.
"To go back to the Barcelona thing. Since I started playing football there has been speculation about me going to a lot of clubs. And that will never, ever stop. But as I said, for now I'm an Arsenal player. So there is nothing to add to it," Henry added.
With a club record of 226 goals in 359 games, Henry isn't the man whom Arsenal would like to put up in the transfer window.
