Maracaibo (Venezuela): Argentina striker Hernan Crespo has been passed fit to play in Sunday's Copa America final against Brazil, a team spokesman said on Friday.
Crespo, playing in his first Copa at the age of 32, sprained a thigh muscle as he scored a penalty in the 4-2 win over Colombia, Argentina's second game at the tournament.
Spokesman Andres Ventura said the team doctor had declared Crespo, who scored three goals in two games before his injury, available for selection.
"Hernan is very important for the team, especially from a morale point of view," said team mate Esteban Cambiasso.
"It's also important for the players because we saw the hard work he did to recover."
Both Diego Milito and Carlos Tevez have partnered Lionel Messi in attack in Crespo's absence.
