Borussia Dortmund Demand Steep Transfer Fee for 22-Year-Old Winger Amid Juventus Approach
With Federico Chiesa and Matias Soule set to exit, Juventus are eyeing Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi.

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have reportedly revealed the asking price for their winger Karim Adeyemi amid Juventus approach. The Bianconeri are currently looking to rebuild their wing department for the 2024/25 season. With Federico Chiesa and Matias Soule set to exit the club, Adeyemi could be a solid addition to the Serie A team. Given the demand for the young German international, Borussia Dortmund are currently eyeing a hefty sum for Adeyemi. As per Corriere dello Sport via iBiancoNero, the UEFA Champions League 2024 finalists are asking for at least €30 million to €40 million for Adeyemi’s transfer. The report further claims that Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin is also quite intent on keeping the player at the Signal Iduna Park.

Juventus are currently in a difficult position with Federico Chiesa not fitting in Thiago Motta’s mould. On the other hand, Matias Soule is likely to be sacrificed by the team to raise transfer funds. This has led to the Italian giants setting their sights on several profiles who could reinforce Juventus’ attack for the upcoming campaign. After days of looking around, Karim Adeyemi has emerged as a primary transfer recently.

Karim Adeyemi rose to prominence during his stint with RB Leipzig after which he earned himself a big-money move to Borussia Dortmund in 2022. The young left-footed German is a Munich native who is capable of inflicting damage from either flank. He has also made four international appearances with Germany’s senior team while notching a goal in the process.

Karim Adeyemi had signed a five-year contract with Borussia Dortmund that binds him to the club until June 2027. Given that the Bundesliga side is keen on keeping their player, the asking price might not drop below €40 million. On the contrary, the transfer fee for Ademeyi might even go around the €45 million mark as we get deeper into the summer. However, the Black and Yellow’s management would likely be willing to conduct business if the right figures are offered.

Juventus are quite confident about fetching a transfer fee of €30 million for Matias Soule. Leicester City are currently in the fray to secure the Argentine’s signature. The Bianconeri will also be looking to secure transfer deals on several other players in the club before settling on a new attack signing.

Given the current scenario at Juventus, players including Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz are the only two forwards who are virtually guaranteed a place in the first team under Thiago Motta’s management.
