The prestigious 19th edition of the AFC Asian Cup will get underway from January 12 with the final slated to be played on February 10.

With 24 countries vying for the prestigious continental title, the AFC Asian Cup 2023 is all set to get underway from Friday in Qatar.

In the opening contest of the AFC Asian Cup, hosts Qatar will face Lebanon on Friday at the Lusail Stadium. The 18th edition of the tournament was initially decided to be held in China but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indian football team has been placed in Group B of the competition along with Uzbekistan, Australia and Syria. India, under the coaching of Igor Stimac, will kick off their AFC Asian Cup 2023 journey with a match against Australia on Saturday, January 13.
