Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2024 Collection Leans Into Boardroom Chic Style
Micheal Kors’ Fall/Winter 2024 collection celebrates the “sculptural tailoring” resembling the 1930s, the “streamlined luxury” of the 1990s, and the contemporary laid-back element of present times.

When trends like the corpcore craze and quiet luxury have been dominating the fashion world recently, luxury brand Michael Kors re-introduced timelessness in its Fall/Winter 2024 collection. Models strutted down the runway at New York Fashion Week as celebrities attended to witness the exquisite designer ensembles. Blake Lively, Brie Larson, Katie Holmes, Rachel Zegler and Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour were present. Michael Kors’ stunning outfit creations often come with a stamp of sophistication. This time too, the American designer put on a fine show of classic 1930s Hollywood with a sprinkle of personal touch.

As per Micheal Kors’ official website, the Fall/Winter 2024 collection weaves retro elegance with modern magic. It celebrates the “sculptural tailoring” resembling the 1930s, the “streamlined luxury” of the 1990s, and the contemporary laid-back element of present times. It is an amalgamation of lacey details with bias-cut satin features, accompanied by simple outerwear. While the most prominent colour scheme of the collection is black and charcoal, warm cappuccino hues, chocolate tones, and “crisp midnight and ivory” shades also boast an essence of luxury.

Models on the runway turned muse to Miachel Kors’ collection and how. The ensembles that were included were crisply tailored coats and jackets, “luxe sportswear” editions, loose-fitted trousers and shoes, distinct hoodies, and “rugged bombers.”. Kors did not forget to incorporate leather into his designs, boasting opulence at its best. Models were seen striding down the ramp in shearling outerwear, followed by artistically effective asymmetrical skirts and dresses. To round it all off, magnificent cashmere items and “investment flannels” made for a walk of grace.

Ahead of the runway show, Michael Kors revealed what inspired him to come up with this new line of clothing. All it took for him was to come across his grandmother’s wedding gown in the 1930s. “I started delving into the 30s because her dress looked so incredibly modern,” he said, adding that it also reminded him of classic Hollywood glamour. Kors took help from two contrasting female personalities—tomboyish flamboyance and sensual femininity to create his latest designs.
