The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) conducted the written examination in February to fill the vacancies for UP constables. It aims to fill a total of 60,241 vacancies. The written examination which was conducted was cancelled due to a paper leak.
The candidates are now waiting for the new dates of the written examination. In such a situation, fake notices regarding the re-exam dates are circulating on social media. As per the fake notice, the re-exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 10 and 11. The UPPRPB has issued a clarification regarding the notice.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has stated on the social media platform X that this notice is fake. The board has written that the information regarding the constable recruitment examination to be held on August 10 and 11 is misleading. No such notification has been issued by the board, they added.
UPPRPB clarified that the news regarding the re-exam will be shared on the website of UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board or its Twitter handle. Along with this, a warning has also been given of legal action against those who spread misleading information and rumours.

This is not the first time that a fake notice regarding the police constable re-exam has surfaced on the internet. Earlier, a fake notice alleged that the UP Police Constable exam will be re-conducted on June 29 and 30. UPPRPB shared a notification on X (Formerly Twitter) stating that the notification is fake and the board has not announced any such date for the conduct of the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2023. It further warned candidates to be cautious about such fake notices.

UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam was conducted on February 17 and 18. More than 43 lakh candidates had appeared in the recruitment exam. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath had assured to conduct the exam again within six months.
