Shakuntala Mishra University Introduces New Courses In Investment Management And Auto Insurance

Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University is introducing two new courses, with the first being a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Investment and Portfolio Management (PGDIPM) under the Department of Management Science. This course will admit 30 students, requiring a minimum eligibility of a graduation degree from a recognized university. Admission criteria will be based on academic qualifications, with special provisions for Divyang students. The curriculum will cover finance, investment, and portfolio management. Upon completion, candidates will receive a one-year postgraduate diploma. Applications can be submitted through the university’s website (https://dsmnru.ac.in/). This course is for individuals aspiring to build careers in finance.

Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University is also launching a three-month certificate course focused on the automobile insurance sector, marking its debut in Uttar Pradesh. No prior experience is necessary for this course, as the minimum qualification is a pass in the 12th class (or equivalent) from a recognized board or university. Admission will be determined by academic qualifications and university weightage. This course offers a pathway to a career in the automobile insurance sector with potential earnings in lakhs in the future.

University spokesperson Yashwant Virodai said that the candidates will get a recognized certificate on successful completion of the course. To apply, one can visit the university website (https://dsmnru.ac.in/). Admission will be done on a merit basis and special preference will be given to physically handicapped students, Yashwant Virodai said. This 6-module program covers many topics including the history of insurance, law and regulatory framework, different types of motor insurance policies and claim process. He said that this course is available to everyone from recent graduates to aspiring experienced professionals.

Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University was established by the Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag of the Government of Uttar Pradesh through an ordinance dated 29 August 2008.
