Manager Fires Entire HR Team After His Own CV Gets Auto-rejected In Seconds
As per media reports, the manager found a major flaw in the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

A good manager or team leader is someone who has complete knowledge of all the right and the wrong happening in their company. The Human Resources (HR) department is responsible for recruiting qualified employees and informing all the members about the policies of the company. The department is also often responsible for overseeing the well-being of the employees. To recruit the perfect candidates, HR officials often post job ads on various platforms, collect CVs and then finalise the right candidates by conducting tests and interviews. In a recent development, a manager made a decision to sack the whole HR department due to a significant reason. As per media reports, the manager found a major flaw in the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS). The system, which is intended to make the hiring process easy, had instead become a barrier for potential hires.

As per media reports, to check the HR team’s work process, the manager submitted his own resume using a fake name and details. The resume was reportedly rejected within seconds of submission. He wrote on social media, “I created a new Email Id and submitted my fake resume. I wanted to check whether there is any discrepancy in our system or not. The CV was rejected within seconds of submission.” According to the manager, the company’s ATS was automatically rejecting candidates without even reviewing the submitted applications.

The manager shared about his decision on the platform Reddit. He mentioned in his post that he was surprised when his resume was rejected. After checking the mail, he realised that HR didn’t even check the resume. He then decided to inform the higher management officials about the issue. Following it, the entire HR team were reportedly fired. The system, which is intended to make the hiring process easy, had instead become a barrier for potential hires. Such automated systems are often criticised for being too strict which leads to the rejection of qualified applicants.
