The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be releasing the second mock allotment result for the first round of counselling today, June 18. The result for the second mock allotment will be determined by the choices filled by the candidates till June 16. All the candidates who applied for admission can check the JoSAA Counselling 2024 second mock allotment result at the official site josaa.nic.in.

Candidates can check the result simply by entering their JEE Main 2024 application number and password.

JoSAA mock allocation results Round 2: How to check

Step 1: Visit the official website of JoSAA at josaa.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the JoSAA 2nd Mock allocation result link.

Step 3: Enter your login credentials and click on submit.

Step 4: Your result will appear on the screen.

Choice locking will begin after the 2nd mock allotment result is announced.

The JoSAA counselling session will be held in five rounds. As per the counselling schedule, the first mock allotment list was shared on June 15th.

The first round of seat allotment results will be announced on June 20. Candidates must report online, pay, and upload documents between June 20 and June 24.

The JoSAA mock seat allotment is a provisional allocation that gives candidates an idea of their expected results in the counselling procedure.

This year, around 1.56 lakh candidates have registered for the JoSAA Counselling session 2024, submitting more than 1.68 crore choices.

Note that this year total number of seat counts in IITs has increased. As per the official data, 355 seats have been added. Last year, the total IIT seat count was 17,385.

The mock seat allotment is held to help students evaluate their chances of securing admission to their prefered institutes before the deadline for locking in final choices.

Students who qualified for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam and apply for admission to IITs and NIT+ seats, while the students who cleared the JEE Mains 2024 can apply for NIT+ seats which include seats in NITs, IIITs, IIEST and other GFTIs.
