IMU CET 2024: Candidates who qualify will be allotted seats based on their social category, availability of seats, rank, and preferences submitted during the counselling process

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has published the results for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024 on the official website at imu.edu.in. The candidates, who appeared for the IMU CET 2024 exam, can now check their qualifying status using their registration number and date of birth.

As per the IMU CET 2024 results, a total of 14,360 candidates have been offered admission into UG programmes. In addition to that, as many as 409 candidates have been selected to pursue an MBA degree at the university, and 46 students have been offered admission into MTech programmes.

Aspirants seeking admission to Indian Maritime University campuses will need to register on the counselling portal of the institute. The entrance examination was conducted on June 8 for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes.

IMU CET 2024 Results: Steps to Check Online

Step 1: Go to the official IMU website at imu.edu.in.

Step 2: Look for and click on the “IMU CET 2024 Results” link that is available on the webpage.

Step 3: Key in your registration number and date of birth in the required fields.

Step 4: Then, click on submit.

Step 5: Once done, the IMU CET 2024 result will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Check all the details and save a copy of the result.

IMU CET 2024 Results Declared: What’s Next?

After securing IMU CET rankings, applicants must contact affiliated or non-affiliated institutes for admissions as per their respective admission mechanisms. It is important to note that entrance to the Diploma in Nautical Science programme in affiliated institutes is limited to ‘sponsored candidates’.

The sponsored candidates are those supported by Ship Owning or Managing Companies and who have passed IMU’s CET for UG programmes.

The admission to the MBA programme will be based on IMU CET rank, Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Common Admission Test (CAT), or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) marks.

Candidates who qualify will be allotted seats based on their social category, availability of seats, rank, and preferences submitted during the counselling process.

Additionally, candidates will have to pay Rs 10,000 as IMU counselling registration fee, and the fee for seat acceptance is Rs 30,000. Qualified candidates must complete the registration and payment process within the stipulated time to secure their seats.
